Easy ways to treat sunburn at home…
-Take a cold water shower. The temperature of the water should not be freezing, but it should still be lower than lukewarm. This will help ease the pain as well as help get rid of skin irritation.
-Apply cold compresses to the affected areas. Take a piece of cloth soaked in cold water, and lay it over the affected area for half an hour.
-Apply aloe vera to burned skin. This can either be in the form of a gel or a lotion. Don’t rub the cream or gel into your skin completely.
-You can also use home remedies like potato juice and oatmeal packs.
-Another treatment is dipping a tea bag into a cup of water and then soaking a cloth with the tea to apply it on the sunburnt area.
-Do not tear off the flaps of skin; let them shed naturally.
-Drink plenty of water. Sunburns can be dehydrating, so it is important to counter this by drinking a lot of water while you recover. Aim for at least eight glasses a day
