The last date for filling in the application forms for the Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) is December 26. The filling process started from November 15. The online examination would be held on April 9, 11, 12 and 19.
The exam assumes importance as the Gujarat government had decided to consider 40% marks scored in the JEE and 60% of the class XII exams for seeking admission in the engineering colleges. Last year about 1,20,000 students appeared for the examination and this year too the same number of students are expected to appear.
The Gujarat government had done away with the GUJCET scores for seeking admission in the engineering stream as students did not get time to prepare for both the examinations. But, for those who wish to seek admission in pharmacy stream have to appear for the GUJCET as the scores of GUJCET are still considered for admission in pharmacy stream.
