Nokia has launched its Asha 503 smart feature phone in the market, nearly a fortnight after its official unveiling in India. The handset has been priced at Rs 6,683 on the company’s official e-store, slightly below its official price tag of Rs 6,799. It is available at online marketplace Snapdeal at Rs 6,964 and has not been listed on Flipkart and Amazon India.
The Nokia Asha 503 features a 3.0-inch QVGA (320x240p) display and also runs the Nokia Asha software platform v1.1 with Swipe UI. It comes with curved Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, dual-sim functionality and microSD card support. The phone also sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash; however, it does not have front camera.
It is the only handset in the revamped Asha line to offer 3G connectivity. It can also access the internet over 2G and Wi-Fi networks, just like Asha 500, 501 and 502. Powered by a 1,200mAh battery, this phone comes in six colour options — red, blue, white, green, black and yellow.
The phone comes preloaded with WhatsApp, and Nokia is offering free access to the Nokia Music service for a period of 3 months.
