Just introduced for Baselworld 2014 is a renewed version of the Vincent Calabrese Régulus Flying Tourbillon.

Calabrese currently works for Corum and is responsible for the creation of the amazing Golden Bridge. He is also one of the founders of the AHCI.

The Regulus features a 36mm transparent case made from Sapphire and because of its transparent appearance the movement seems to float unattached. At the nine o’clock position is a flying tourbillon with an unusual bird-shaped cage. The bridges and base plate of the movement are made from solid gold.

The time is indicated in the style of a regulator watch; the minutes are indicated on the small sub-dial and the hours by the large main hand. The time is set and winding done via a crown hidden on the back of the movement.

Prices for the Régulus Flying Tourbillon start at 180,000 Swiss francs, with this sapphire case version retailing for 225,000 Swiss francs.
