Samsung announces Galaxy Core Advance

 Samsung Electronics has extended its Galaxy lineup with the addition of Galaxy Core Advance smartphone. A successor to the original Samsung Galaxy Core, Core Advance sports a 4.7″ TFT display with a 480×800 (WVGA) pixel resolution. Galaxy Core Advance measures 133.3 x 70.5 x 9.7 mm and weighs 145gm.

It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. Core Advance comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be extended upto 64GB through microSD card.

There’s 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash and a 2,000 mAh battery. The phone comes with a coated back cover and sports dedicated keys for voice recorder, camera, volume, menu, home and power functions.

Connectivity suite includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS and NFC. Some other features include Optical Scan, Light Sensing technology, Instant Voice Recorder, Screen Curtain.

Galaxy Core Advance will come in Deep Blue and Pearl White colours. The smartphone will launch in early 2014.

 Late last month, Samsung launched S Duos 2, successor to its Galaxy S Duos in India. Priced at Rs 10,999, the dual-sim Duos 2 has a 4-inch WVGA display and runs on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. The device comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system with TouchWiz UI on top out of the box. The phone has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA in the front. It packs 4GB of internal storage and 768MB of RAM and the battery capacity is 1500mAh (same as in the earlier version). The 4GB of inbuilt storage can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card
