Samsung has announced Galaxy Round, the first smartphone in the world to have a curved screen. This handset is based on the Galaxy Note 3 and has a 5.7-inch full HD display, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM and 13MP camera. The phone will hit the shelves in South Korea on October 10.
Here are five unique features of the Samsung Galaxy Round
One Hand Operation
The phone’s curved design makes it easier to grip, according to Samsung. Its One Hand Operation feature allows users to operate the big screen with one hand by putting controls on the preferred side of the display.
The phone has a feature called Roll Effect that allows users to check date, time, missed calls and battery status with a tilt when the phone is turned off.
You can sift through photos without ever touching the screen in Galaxy Round. Its Side Mirror feature allows you to go to the next or previous photos across the gallery with tilt to the left or right.
Samsung Galaxy Round’s Bounce UX allows users to control the music player even when the screen is off. You can play the previous track with a short press to the left and the next song with a short press to the right.
Samsung Galaxy Round sports Gravity Effect feature which according to the company creates “visual interaction with the screen by tilting the device.”
